Looking back on my film reel    To say I've grown in my work these past four years would be a bit of an understatement. Looking back on my work from freshman year to my work now on my senior year the growth shows for itself. As a director I've seen what makes a good video good and an unforgettable video for breathtaking. Working with people who all have different views and different skill levels makes this class a thrill and a benefit for me. I can either learn from those who have had more experience and more knowledge how camera and editing work and I can also teach those younger than me how things work which helps me become a better mentor and leader. looking back on it and hearing everything my classmates have said I would maybe move some shots around and take away the water bottle scene and just add another hand or very dark video in instead. overall I enjoyed how it turned out I was able to show my different projects and give them a new place to be shown and it makes me re

2019 entertainment review

Semester Recap This semester I did a lot. I took roles all the way from director to editor. From making a commercial to making a treatment for a short film. my most memorable project of the semester would have to be the film reel. Though it was a small assignment and not much one we spent a lot of time on it I was able to present my best works and compose it all together also spotlight my editing skills to make an amazing film reel. With only around two weeks to work on it I had to work on finding my best work so that involved digging to find somethings that were high quality for junior year video. As I was cutting everything and was adding music I leaned that sometimes you just have to enjoy the little things and it will work out. Though being a junior I got my style across and being able to spotlight my work felt good and hearing from some of the other juniors and seniors in class that I had solid shots and a great depth of focus was great. Going back now and adding somethings I

Final Video Blog its bittersweet but next year I have to do this next year again :( Video Projects This semester of video was interesting because it was in the entertainment side of video and this is exiting because for this semester I had the chance to produce my short film. One of my favorite projects we did was the music video. yes it was cheesy and I acted and it wasn't the greatest but I had fun filming. Even though we had weather problems which made the video project last like two months instead of one it worked out as much as we could. We filmed in front of union station to keep the constituency of the original video. Editing wasn't to hard and going to film was done in one day. Overall the product was great for being the only group in the class to having it done. My overall favorite project of the semester was the short film in which I directed and was the camera man for the video. We had some problems with the video from filming says running late to having a

Final Blog With the year ending this time its just remembering on my work and growth over the year. Overall starting from August and ending in May my work has grown and developed into more complex and interesting designs. One of my favorite projects has been my greeting cards. This project focused more on the calligraphy and writing types in letters. The picture here shows one of my two cards and to me I'm very proud of how well it turned out and hope it will make someone happy one day to give to them on a special occasion. The project itself took about a month to finish and was a struggle at sometimes. I got use to using the pen and curvature tool. Looking back and asking those around me for help and opinions I leaned I was really good at calligraphy and the splash of color added to the designs. I would maybe change how some letters look but overall I'm very proud of how it looks.     My second favorite project this semester would be the post cards and tickets for our f

High School Movie Trailer

Movie Trailer Pre-Production For our movie trailer we went with the breakfast club. The work wasn't to hard and it all went well. We go through pre-production in about 2 days which wasn't a lot compared to other teams and in the end that was okay and kind of expected. Filming Day Our plan on filming day was to get all the shots done in one day and get straight into editing, but just cause you plan that doesn't mean you'll get it done. We started to film and move along with things and it moved fast and our actors were really exited about it which helped the flow. After dinner we got straight back into filming and after a while our camera fell and we didn't know what to do which ended our filming day (and only film day) which was short. Editing Editing was not hard we put everything together the day after we filmed and when compared to the original it looks pretty good. Being how we couldn't get all the shots we just decided to go with what we have and in t

Farewell 2018 Graphic Design Hello 2019 With 2018 coming to a close this has been on interesting year of eComm projects. Graphic design has been a ride in itself. Learning from pop art to making a panorama image. so lets not waist time with small read an instead read about how we are thriving in e-Comm graphic design! :)  Panorama Project The project itself was pretty self explanatory we had to create a panorama image about a happy moment in our life and why they where important to us for me it was a day I went to take pictures of my family in a sunflower patch. For this project I spent around two weeks putting it all together who knew after week one I would scratch the idea using my room to instead adding a picture of my family. As I would work I knew that things would be okay and I would end up getting all my things together. in the end I was glad I switch my topic because if I didn't then we wouldn't have a nice centerpiece in our living room. Watercolor Transferring Print  By Kenia Diaz  e-Comm has been a challenge lately. In video we have been trying to get a good feature film and in graphic design we are making fall icons. Its seems nice when we finally take some time to paint with water colors and and some of our favorite e-Comm project in graphic design. I decided to do one of my favorite projects which is the sunflower patch. It reminds me of a happy time in my life when I was surrounded by the things I love the most. The process of water transfer was kinda had but easy as well. We first ha dot chose one of out pieces that we want to transfer and later edit is to fit in a 4 x 6 picture. We later than had to flip it so when we lifted the paper it was the right way. We later had to use mod lodge  and layer it and we used a squeegee to spread the glue evenly.
